If there’s one kitchen appliance I truly cannot live without, it’s my airfryer.
Quick, low‑effort, minimal washing up, and still giving crispy, flavourful, restaurant‑level results? Say less.
These are my top 3 go‑to airfryer meals – the ones I make on repeat when I want something delicious, nourishing, and effortless.
None of these are long, fussy recipes. Just simple step‑by‑step instructions, bold flavours, and meals that always hit.
Let’s get into it...
For all three recipes: start by pre‑heating your airfryer to 190–200°C, depending on how hot yours runs.
-
1. Sweet Chili Salmon
This one is an absolute staple. Sweet, sticky, slightly spicy, and perfectly flaky every single time.
It’s one of those meals that feels fancy but takes minutes.
Perfect with:
Rice or quinoa
Roasted sweet potato
Tenderstem broccoli, spinach or green beans
How I Make It:
Rinse your salmon fillets under cold water and lay them onto your airfryer tray/basket lined with tin foil
Squeeze over the juice of ½ a lemon
Season with Himalayan pink salt and ground black pepper to taste. Add an all‑purpose seasoning if you want extra flavour (my fave is Dunn’s River)
Drizzle lightly with olive oil
Using a brush, baste the salmon generously with sweet chilli sauce until fully coated (Heinz is a great one)
Airfry for 12–14 minutes, depending on how crispy you like it
2. Jerk Chicken Wings
These wings are elite. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with bold jerk flavour.
Perfect for a cosy night in, hosting, or when you want something indulgent but still homemade.
Perfect with:
Coleslaw
Corn on the cob
A simple side salad
How I Make Them:
Wash your chicken wings under cold water and add them to a large bowl
Squeeze over the juice of ½ a lemon (use a whole lemon if making more than 10 wings)
Add Himalayan pink salt and ground black pepper to taste, 2 minced garlic cloves, dried or fresh coriander, chicken seasoning if desired (again, Dunn’s River is my go‑to), Dunn’s River jerk paste (around 2 tablespoons for up to 10 wings, but adjust to your heat preference), and 1–2 tablespoons of ketchup to taste
Using gloves if you prefer, mix everything together and really massage the seasoning into the chicken, making sure every piece is fully coated
Add the wings to your airfryer tray/basket and cook top‑side down for 12–15 minutes
Flip with tongs and cook for a further 12–15 minutes, or until crispy and browned on the outside
3. Lemon Butter & Parsley Basa
Light, fresh, and so comforting. This is my go‑to when I want something softer and more delicate but still packed with flavour.
Basa cooks beautifully in the airfryer and stays incredibly tender.
Perfect with:
New potatoes or mash
Cous cous
Roasted veg
How I Make It:
Rinse your basa fillets under cold water and lay them onto your airfryer tray/basket lined with tin foil
Squeeze over the juice of ½ a lemon
Season with Himalayan pink salt and ground black pepper to taste
Add fresh or dried parsley, a light drizzle of olive oil, and use a brush to spread evenly (I sometimes add some chilli flakes if I'm craving a little heat!)
Place ½ a tablespoon of butter on top of each fillet
Airfry for 12–14 minutes, depending on how firm you like your fish

If you’ve been sleeping on your airfryer, let this be your sign.
These three meals are proof that you don’t need complicated recipes or hours in the kitchen to eat really well.
Let me know if you try any of these, and if you’d like a part 2 with more airfryer favourites, because trust me, I’ve got plenty…
Happy cooking!!

Thank you I will be trying the fish ones next week xx
